Bethany Norris

My name is Bethany Norris and I am just finishing my three year Paramedic Science Degree at Oxford Brookes University. I developed an interest in birth within the pre-hospital setting after noticing paramedic’s reactions to obstetric patients. It was noted that many paramedics find this area hard due to a lack of knowledge and training. A personal interest in premature births led me to look into the research around this area. By completing my dissertation, I have developed a further understanding of the needs of these patients and how further research is required to develop paramedic management of neonates.
