I am a final year student paramedic at Oxford Brookes University. Though it has been tough, the past three years have been a incredible journey for me, exploring myself as an individual whilst working hard towards the goal of a fully qualified paramedic. My interest in personalised care and patient advocate has complimented my recent interests around the topic of palliative and end of life care within pre-hospital practice. This allowed further exploration in greater detail through this literature review, positively affecting my practice and encouraging myself to consider performing future research to support the professions development.
