Laura Williams & Sarah Poinski-McCoy

Laura Williams is a doctor of physical therapy student at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, expected to Graduate in December 2017. She is interested in specializing in outpatient orthopedics with an emphasis on women's health. She has completed her Pelvic Floor Level 1 training, and will be completing a Yoga for Pelvic Pain class in May, both through Herman and Wallace. She is passionate about advocating for the speciality of women's health in physical therapy, and promoting it as the first course of intervention for patients with pelvic pain and dysfunction. --- Sarah Poinski-McCoy is a doctor of physical therapy student at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, graduating in December 2017. Her current interests include pelvic floor PT, pediatric PT, public health and research. She currently works under Dr. Cory Christiansen, PT, DPT, PhD in the Interdisciplinary Movement Science Lab, researching physical activity after dysvascular amputation. She sought continuing education via Pelvic Floor Level 1 training with the APTA, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage with Klose Training. She plans to continue to focus on the intersections of public health and physical therapy via advocacy and education. When not in school, she enjoys adventuring outside with her husband in the Rocky Mountains.
